Duck Donuts

Duck Donuts, now a nationally-ranked franchise with over 100 locations, began as a local shop in North Carolina’s Outer Banks. As with many franchise organizations, the path from that single location to the growing footprint of today required significant change. As the owners grappled with expansion and the needs of their franchisees, they turned to Bright Red to ensure every aspect of marketing was as memorable as the first bite of one of their donuts.

Ducklish Campaign

The Momentum Planning process resulted in a brand platform, "Euphoria Your Way,” based on the magical moment when people bite into a custom-made, from scratch Duck Donut. To bring this platform to life for the brand, we developed a fresh brand architecture including primary identity elements (logo, a distinct Duck Donuts typeface and a color palette) as vibrant as the donuts themselves. These elements were carefully baked into a brand book, including an entirely new language to describe the product’s phenomenal taste: a “Ducktionary” to “Ducklish,” the only way to adequately describe a Duck Donut.
